At The Guidance Company, we believe that your body is a sensitive instrument for understanding how you live, relate, and evolve. We invite you to step into a space where movement becomes a vital form of research, connection, and self-care.

The goal isn’t just to feel good in class, but to live better outside of it. You will learn to recognize your habits, reshape your reactions, and navigate your life with greater calm and resilience.

Our lessons are designed as movement-based laboratories. Rather than focusing on complex choreography, we use contemporary dance tasks and somatic practices to help you rediscover your physical potential. This is a process of “embodied listening,” where you are encouraged to slow down and observe yourself with clarity and compassion.

We welcome everyone, regardless of age, flexibility, or prior experience.Even if you have limited mobility, our lessons offer meaningful ways to explore movement through small, intentional actions like shifting weight or breathing with intention.

In our sessions, you will be invited to explore the following core areas of practice:

  • Embodied Self-Research: Use gentle movement as a form of introspection to access untapped emotional and creative resources.
  • Mindful Discovery & Listening: By tuning into breath, weight, and subtle sensations or impulses, you will learn to quiet “mental noise,” regulate your nervous system, and remain fully present.
  • Relational Sensitivity & Connection: Practice connecting with others through touch, proximity, rhythm, and shared group tasks to cultivate empathy, awareness, and active listening.

Participating in these laboratories offers a profound range of benefits that extend far beyond the studio walls:

  • Mental & Emotional Balance: Experience reduced stress, a quieter mind, and natural emotional regulation.
  • Physical Vitality: Many participants find improved posture, greater ease in their joints, and relief from chronic tension.
  • Deepened Connection: Through non-verbal communication and trust-building exercises, you will develop skills that translate directly into your everyday relationships.
  • Personal Growth: By recognizing habitual physical and emotional patterns, you gain the tools to reshape your daily habits for a more conscious, grounded life.

Our classes are designed for:

  • The Mover: Anyone wishing to explore and increase their body’s abilities and the range of movement.
  • The Stress-Overloaded: Individuals seeking a clearer, quieter mind and emotional balance.
  • The “Non-Dancer”: People who want to move but feel intimidated by traditional dance studios.
  • All Ages & Abilities: From young adults to seniors, and those with limited mobility.
  • The Seeker: Anyone wishing to deepen their self-awareness and connection to others.

Come as you are. No special gear, shoes, or experience required. Let us guide you with laboratory movements into a deep change.
